RunwayArtists.com was started in 2008 in order to bridge the gap between students in modeling, photography, cosmetology, and fashion design through an interactive forum. This site is designed to teach them how to market themselves in the design industry, build their portfolios through experience, and make connections with others in their field. This site is intended to stress the importance of self-promotion and responsibility in order to truly succeed in this industry. Students can find the photographer they need for a shoot, the model they need for the photographer and the right make-up artist for the model. Post resumes for professionals to see, show off their work in our online gallery, and find the perfect talent for their next big event. I have worked with students in design for many years, and I have learned that the best way to be successful in this field, is to get as much hands on experience as possible. While working with these students I learned that much of what they become, relies heavily on what real-world experience they get. I designed this site with the student in mind, hoping to influence them to market them selves and work with others students in their industry.
