4/30/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 100 block Crestview Way reported at 8:09PM. Complainant reported that sometime during the day, the mailbox was struck and damaged.

WANTED PERSON / ARREST – Bensalem Township at 10:01PM. Bensalem Twp Police stopped a vehicle and further investigation revealed that male 22 year old male from Levittown had an arrest warrant for thefts from our jurisdiction. He was taken into custody by Bensalem Twp Police and transported to our department for processing.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – 1000 block Big Oak Rd at 4:48PM. Police responded to a three vehicle accident with minor injuries reported and all three vehicles were towed from the scene.

RETAIL THEFT – 1601 Big Oak Rd at the Wine & Spirits Shop, reported at 9:57AM. The complainant an employee reported that on 4/14/08 at about 1:09PM, a white male about 6’0” to 6’4”, 25-35 years of age and short brown curly hair with a goatee left the store concealing 6 bottles of vodka with a value of about $41.28.

DUI / ACCIDENT / ARREST – SR-332 and Stony Hill Rd at 5:54PM. Police responded to a three vehicle accident and further investigation revealed that one of the operators, a male from New Jersey was involved and was driving under the influence. He was taken into custody and processed.

4/26/08

ROBBERY – Makefield Rd at the Big Oak Exxon Station at 7:55PM. The victim, an employee, reported he was robbed by a white male in his 20’s with short dark hair and last seen wearing a red shirt. He was last seen fleeing in a dark green mini van and he took about $250 to $300 cash from the station, he also frisked the employee taking a $1 from him. The suspect may have been caught on video surveillance. This was a strong arm robbery, no weapon was displayed, but the suspect had his hand under his shirt.

            Anyone that may have been in the area of the Big Oak Exxon Station at the corner of Makefield Rd and Big Oak Rd and observed anything suspicious or the above mentioned vehicle is asked to call the Lower Makefield Twp Police Dept., Detective Bureau at 215-493-4055.

THEFT – 1400 block Oxford Valley Rd reported at 10:00AM. Victim reported that overnight someone cut the padlock on a construction storage trailer and took a grinder, pneumatic nail gun and a masonry cut saw. The total combined value of the items taken is about $2,250.00.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – W. Trenton Ave and Pine Grove Rd at 11:00AM. Police responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries reported, but both vehicles were removed by tow.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Oxford Valley Rd and US Route 1 at 6:35AM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident with towing required.

4/24/08

RETAIL THEFT – 1500 block Big Oak Rd at 8:03PM. Store employees reported that a clean shaven white male about 5’9” to 5’10” and wearing a red shirt with a dark hat and tan timberland boots entered the store and removed 20 previously viewed videos, he then left the store. He was last seen operating a green Ford Aerostar minivan and exiting onto Big Oak Rd toward Oxford Valley Rd. The van was being driven by a white female, no further information.

THEFT – 500 block Cedar Hollow Dr reported at 7:00PM. Victim reported that someone entered the vehicle and took a wallet, Verizon Samsung cell phone and a Blackberry. The wallet contained credit cards, debit cards and identification.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Heacock Rd and Edgewood Rd at 3:20PM. Police responded to a two vehicle accident with minor injuries and towing of the vehicles.

4/23/08

RETAIL THEFT / ARREST – 1641 Big Oak Rd at 5:18PM. Store employees detained a male for taking merchandise valued at $72. Police arrived on scene and he was released into their custody for processing.

4/22/08

THEFT – Unit block Hilltop Rd reported at 9:00PM. Complainant reported that she hired a plumber to do work inside the residence. The complainant gave the contractor $375, but he never returned to complete the work.

RETAIL THEFT / ARREST – 1641 Big Oak Rd at 9:33PM. Store employees detained a female from Levittown for taking merchandise and not making payment. She was turned over into the custody of LMTPD for processing.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 600 block Leslie Ln reported at 2:39PM. Victim reported that overnight the drivers mirror and a fog lamp were smashed out. The vehicle was parked in the street and the damage is valued at about $1,115.

THEFT – 1600 block Delaware Rim Dr reported at 12:03PM. Victim reported that sometime overnight someone cut off a lock to a construction trailer and took about $3,000 to $4,000 worth of miscellaneous tools.

THEFT – Unit block St. James Pl reported at 4:32PM. Complainant reported that their “Obama” campaign sign valued at $16 was taken about 3:00PM. This is the second sign taken.

THEFT FROM AUTO – 1500 block Big Oak Rd at Oxford Oaks Shopping Center, reported at 8:55PM. Victim reported that someone removed sunglasses and an airbed from the vehicle. The total combined value of the items is $800.

REPOPRTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Lindenhurst Rd and Steeple Chase Dr at 5:36PM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

UNDERAGE DRINKING CITATIONS – Edgewood Rd and Oxford Valley Rd at 12:33AM. Police stopped a vehicle for violations and further investigation revealed that one of the occupants is under the age of 21 and had been drinking. He was cited by police.

4/20/08

DUI / DRUG ARREST – 1000 block Stony Hill Rd at the Lower Makefield Corporate Center at 6:21PM. Police responded to a report of a possible drug overdose and when they arrived on location they found a white male unconscious behind the wheel of a car with the engine running. Further investigation found several small white packages inside the car, which is suspected to be heroin. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation and then later released and processed.

4/19/08

CREDIT CARD FRAUD – Unit block Kenmore Rd reported at 6:23PM. Complainant reported that someone purchased $1,300 worth of items on the complainants Chase Visa.

DUI / ARREST – Delaware Rim Dr by Dell Dr at 9:25PM. Police observed a vehicle being operated in a careless manner and made a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that the operator was visibly intoxicated and the operator was taken into custody and processed.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CITATIONS – I-95 at 12:13AM. Bucks County Police were advised that Trenton, NJ Police were pursuing a vehicle wanted in the connection with the assault on a police officer. LMTPD observed the vehicle unoccupied on I-95 within Lower Makefield. Police K-9’s initiated a search of the area and two out of the three occupants were located. The operator of the vehicle was still at large, but the two occupants were taken into custody and processed at police headquarters.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – 500 block Keating Dr reported at 9:53AM. Victim reported that between 1:30AM and 4:30AM someone entered the home, via an unlocked front door and took a purse and two containers of cash containing about $300 to $600. The victim was asleep and reported hearing nothing, but noticed the front door ajar about 4:30AM.

THEFT FROM AUTO – 1200 block Pine Grove Rd reported at 7:00AM. Victim reported that a wallet containing credit cards was taken overnight from the vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE VIOLATIONS – 1700 block Newtown-Yardley Rd at 2:33AM. Police observed a vehicle being driven through the farmer’s fields and property. The vehicle was stopped and the operator from LMT was issued several citations, one for Trespass by Motor Vehicle.

THEFT FROM AUTO – Unit block Effingham Rd reported at 3:35AM. Victim reported that sometime overnight the following were taken from the unlocked auto: a portable Playstation valued at $250 and $10 in loose change.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Stony Hill Rd and Newtown-Yardley Rd at 4:43PM. Police responded to a two vehicle accident with one vehicle requiring towing.

FOUND PROPERTY – Unit block W. School Ln reported at 5:16PM. Complainant reports finding a Black Murray Mountain Scene Bicycle on the property. Bike is now in police property room, anyone missing a bike???

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 400 block Hidden Oaks Dr reported at 12:24AM. Complainant reported that the neighbor’s mailbox had been hit and the post broken.

4/14/08

DRUG VIOLATION – 500 block W. Trenton Ave at 6:52PM. Police stopped a vehicle for violations and investigation led to the recovery of Percocet tablets and 102 cartons of cigarettes, which the operator could not produce a receipt for. The operator will be summoned by mail and the cigarettes were confiscated.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Stony Hill Rd at 10:23PM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident with injuries. The operator of a motorcycle fell while exiting from the shopping center.

THEFT – 1400 block Oxford Valley Rd reported at 4:18PM. Victim reported that sometime over the weekend someone took a STOW 8hp mortar mixer from Boxwood Farms. Also taken was a baseboard heating copper tubing valued at about $3,400.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

1500 block Candace Ln reported at 7:30PM. Complainant reported that someone threw eggs at the residence, there is no permanent damage.

500 block Aspen Woods Dr reported at 9:55PM. Complainant reported that someone rang the doorbell and upon answering the door, a plastic bag was on fire. About 4 to 6 juveniles were seen running from the house.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

1500 block Candace Ln reported at 9:51PM. Complainant reported that eggs were thrown at the residence’s front door, no permanent damage to the front door.

RETAIL THEFT / ARREST – 1600 block Big Oak Rd – Kohls Dept Store at 12:07PM. Store security detained a 42 year old male from Philadelphia for removing $645.47 worth of merchandise from the store. He was taken into custody by LMTPD and processed at headquarters.

4/11/08

FRAUD – 1300 block Heller Dr reported at 10:15AM. Victim notified by Commerce that someone accessed the bank accounts and removed money from a branch in Center City Philadelphia. The transactions occurred on 3/25, 4/7 and 4/8/08. The loss is valued at about $3,250. The victim reported having contractors in the residence from July 2007 to November 2007 and at that time, $5,000 was observed missing from the bedroom.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CITATIONS – Big Oak Rd and Stony Hill Rd at 6:34PM. Police responded to a motorist / bicyclist dispute on the roadway. Police found the two subjects separated after fighting over bicycle driving habits. Citations issued to both subjects.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

300 block Cinnabar Ln reported at 7:15PM. Complainant reported that the vehicle was egged overnight.

1200 block Landmark Rd reported at 8:20AM. Complainant reported that someone wrapped the mailbox in plastic overnight.

200 block Leedoms Dr reported at 8:40AM. Complainant reported that someone painted “Free Willy” and “sup” on the vehicle, this caused about $10 in damage; it was a washable paint.

1300 block Colony Way reported at 9:35AM. Complainant reported that overnight someone threw eggs at the house causing about $25.00 in damage.

DUI / DISORDERLY SUBJECT – 1000 River Rd – Macclesfield Park. Reported at 3:57PM. Police were advised of a disorderly person who confronted several juveniles who were playing football. He began to yell at them and make verbal challenges; such as “I’ll fight you”. Police arrived and his car was stopped on River Rd and he was taken into custody for driving under the influence. Other charges are also pending.

4/9/08

RETAIL THEFT – 500 block W. Trenton Ave at the CVS, reported at 6:00PM. Morrisville Borough Police reported they recovered stolen merchandise after a vehicle pursuit into Trenton, NJ. The suspects took baby formula from the CVS and fled. Both of the suspects from Trenton were identified through the surveillance cameras at the store. The theft totaled $75.00 and charges are being prepared.

4/1/08

NON-REPORTABLE ACCIDENT - Yardley Rd at E.School Ln at 6:18PM. Complainant reported to police that a vehicle struck and knocked over a "Road Closed" sign at this location and then fled the scene. Further investigation by police and with good tag information from a witness, police discovered who was driving the vehicle. The operator is going to be issued a traffic citation.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT - SR-332 and Stony Hill Rd at 2:55PM. Police responded to a four (4) vehicle accident with injuries reported.

3/31/08

RETAIL THEFT / ARREST - 1601 Big Oak Rd, Super Fresh inside the liquor store at 11:40AM. Police responded to a retail theft after store employees witnessed the female concealing 2 small bottles of vodka. She was taken into police custody and processed.

WANTED PERSON - SR-332 and Stony Hill Rd at 8:31AM. Police stopped a vehicle for violations and further investigation revealed that the male driver from Philadelphia was wanted on a bench warrant. He was taken into police custody.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 1400 block Polo Run Dr reported at 8:48AM. Victim reported that overnight someone shot orange paint balls at the vehicle, no permanent damage.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 500 block South Ridge Cir reported at 5:21PM. Victim reported that the house was egged overnight. No damage reported, just a clean up value.

NON-REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT - 1000 block Edgewood Rd at 3:51PM. Police responded to a minor accident at this location.
